Dr. Toni Pak of Loyola University Chicago's Stritch School of Medicine will present a seminar entitled "The clever ways that estrogens regulate microRNA in the brain" on Friday, May 17th at 2:00pm in McGowan South 103. The talk will also be streamed via Zoom.

The William J. Degutis Women in Science and Health Lecture will be presented by Maggie Amsler on May 2nd at 4pm in McGowan South 104. Maggie is an alumna of the Biology department who has researched marine biology in the Antarctic since 1980. See flyer for registration.

Wondering what courses to take after gen bio/chem? Academic Advisor Sarah Finck will review course recommendations for Biology majors on April 23rd and 24th from 4:15pm to 5:00pm in McGowan South 104.

Come support our graduate student, Angelina Consalvo, as she defends her MS thesis: "Capturing Herpesvirus Entry Glycoprotein Interactions: An Exploration of Assays." The presentation will be held on Thursday, March 7th from 10:30am-11:30am in Levan Center - Room 407.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Andrew Conith will give our annual Darwin Day seminar on Friday, February 16th at 2:00pm in McGowan South 105. The talk is entitled: "Extending Darwin’s Theory - 'Tails' from pigeons, cichlids, and others." See the attached flyer for more info.

Dr. Danielle Tullman-Ercek of Northwestern University will be giving a seminar about engineering biology to solve societal challenges from medicine to sustainability on Friday, January 26th at 2:00pm in McGowan South 105. The talk will also be streamed via Zoom.
