@MSFTMechanics This seems to overcome the “Mr. Admin always has read rights” problem. However, I didn’t understand the idea where encryption is instantaneous and requires “processing of up to 7 hours.” Also, can this be turned on via GPO or Intune only?

@jeremymoskowitz @MSFTMechanics That's a maximum processing time with many files involved. Think filled 2TB drive or something similar. On my demo machine with a few dozen files, it took single digit seconds.

@jeremymoskowitz @MSFTMechanics Thanks Jeremy. To be honest, I need more practice in both. When I lived in each respective country, my fluency and pronunciation was so much better. When I switch quickly between German and Chinese, a German accent comes through a little. J's become Y's etc.

@EddysWorld1980 True, it's like the file sync equivalent to emailing yourself a file though. I do this, too (with OneDrive, of course 😉). But for a video that's a few hundred MB or a few GB, it's still slow.

@deployjeremy I now just have my iCloud Drive signed in on windows and drop files into a folder that way.

Why is it so difficult to get files onto an iPhone from a PC? To 'read from', you just attach it like external storage and give permission. 'Write to' on the other hand 🙁 And in case you ever need to do this: youtu.be/IEnEGvHnmK0
