@Rafa_Mangual Remember, "potential alert" means that they couldn't actually determine that it was a gunshot or simply another loud noise. Did the previous Cambridge data have July 4th data that was linked to actual gunshots?

Where is this even from (link?)? And no, I don’t read this say “this will be off July fourth” and certainly not “because we can’t differentiate between fireworks and gunshots.” Clearly, the fact that the technology picked up on nearly 1M potential alerts last July 4th falsifies your claim, which you ought to retract.

The carve-out re: July 4th is tucked away in Attachment A of Addendum One to the ShotSpotter Contract. See below. Note "select holidays" and the SLA inclusions which includes Independent Day (a.k.a. July 4th).

McConnell’s “proof of life” photo was released shortly after this segment. 🤔 Andy Beshear says the Republican legislature changed the law to block him from appointing a Senator if a vacancy occurs. He argues the Kentucky Constitution gives him that authority, calls the changes politically motivated, and says he’s prepared to fight the issue in court if a Senate seat becomes vacant, while wishing McConnell a full recovery.

This article article is fear-mongering promoted by ShotSpotter PR. ShotSpotter is turned off on July 4th, when the employee was killed, precisely because it can’t differentiate between fireworks and gunshots. It would’ve been a non-factor in this case.
