@oakroyd Was never (I think) in the Chevalier, but remember bring in the other two - can't remember the names now, but one was in Sauchiehall St. A few low level bets on roulette, free sandwiches, and wait in the lounge for your taxi instead of standing in a mile-long queue at the rank 🙂

@derekelder2 Was in the new Chevy at Hope St. a few times. Did a nice steak. This the old one.

@is_glasgow The Old Swan Inn on the gushet. Had a memorable night with a pal in there in the 70s, then back round the corner to Mannering Road to do some painting and decorating his house. Didn't go well.

@DumfriesTrust @oakroyd Yes, that's Fairfield yard. No idea how Glasgow City Council IDd that as Elmbank St, but they form on misidentification of images.

@oakroyd It's Govan Road, looking towards Fairfield's yard. The goods wagons are being pulled by the electric Fairfield loco, now preserved at Bo'ness.

@oakroyd Was only in it a couple of times. Popular with BT staff from Marland House and nurses from Rottenrow and the Royal.
