Guys, avoid crossing your legs when you sit down. It looks effeminate, temporarily raises your blood pressure and can affect your fertility.
To avoid crossing your legs when you sit down, sit up straight. Sitting up straight forces you to sit with your legs open. You see, it's harder to cross your legs unless you slouch. Don’t slouch. Be erect - like a man!😊

English

@derickyug Hmmm really 🤔
Did you paid for YouTube premium?
English

Nigeria can never work and am not joking 💔.
If you want to know how cooked we are in Nigeria, just go to YouTube and observe what I’m about to tell you.
First, watch a random video for like 20 minutes. Pay attention to the adverts you’ll be seeing. Most of them will be betting ads, hookup app ads, Bible ads, loan ads, and all sorts of useless distractions.
Now use a VPN and switch your location to the United States. Watch another video.
Look at the difference.
You’ll start seeing adverts about job opportunities, tech programs, government grants, skill acquisition, business funding, or important national announcements.
Same platform.
Different priorities.
That alone should tell you how bad this country has gotten

@ScFidelis My first IPO then , I don't even remember the stockbroker I used as they too went under
English

DAARCOMM is one stock that always evokes emotion when I go through its numbers.
Massive first-mover advantage in the 90s. The first independent radio & TV stations in Nigeria.
Growing up, I watched major tournaments on AIT -Atlanta ’96 Olympics, France ’98 World Cup.
Back then when TV moments felt bigger than life 😄
The company had attention.
They had timing.
They had brand.
Years later, I had a friend in a finance role there. Some of my ICAN students also worked at their Alagbado office.
So I’ve had more than a surface-level view of their journey.
DAARCOMM listed on NGX in September 2008 at ₦5 per share.
Since then:
📍 No dividend paid.
📍 Has not traded above its ₦5 listing price since Nov. 2008.
Time doesn’t fix weak fundamentals.
However you slice it, long-term shareholders have lost massive value.
First-mover advantage is powerful. But governance, capital allocation, and execution determine longevity.
The market eventually tells the truth.

@keanxley But they are fully recapitalized, doesn't still change your view?

@ScFidelis I think keeping cash in mutual funds to get ready for any crash might pay in the long run
English

@Rxbremen But they were warned. The same way they saw the Stock in the first place is the same way they saw the warnings. They will be fine

@sinzubaba @bigbrutha_ Just walk into any sterling/Alternative Bank and ask for Altpower. U may be lucky to get up to 2 yrs repayment period
English

@bigbrutha_ Bro I’ve been saying this…. It’s needed like mad! If you see please let me know
English

@AAProm042 @olajideobe You also forgot the money would have been invested in one of those banks that went down. Return of capital is still the win here
English

@olajideobe That's poor ROI for 24 years investment bcos I don't think anyone is buy a mahogany tree for 400k.
1500 × 2980 = N4.3m. That money would have gotten you a land in a gwarinpa or Wuse area in 2002 which will be worth over N2b now
English

I saw a video of Isaac Fayose where he said he planted 2980 mahogany and ọ̀mọ̀h trees nursery in 2002, and he bought a nursery tree from IITA for just ₦1500. Man said he is currently selling one matured tree now for minimum of ₦400,000.
I just kept screaming ọmọ when I pressed my calculator. 400k/tree multiply by 2980 trees is over ₦1bn.
Orí mi ti ṣí, men. 🤔 🤔 🤔

@grok @olumidecapital So what happens to the naira purchasing power in such recession
English

If the Naira strengthens significantly to below ₦1,000/$ as Otedola predicts, driven by factors like Dangote Refinery's output, it could enhance Nigeria's purchasing power, reduce import costs, and attract foreign investment. Meanwhile, a sharp US stock market or Bitcoin crash might signal global recession, potentially lowering oil prices and remittances to Nigeria. This could create relative opportunities for Nigerian assets but risks broader economic ripple effects.
