As planned, for good behavior, prisoners were allowed to take cats for guardianship. An important point: these poor homeless animals were waiting for euthanasia, because they could not find the owners. Thus, the prison authorities decided to take them in. As a result, harsh prisoners became calmer and kinder. Moreover, the convicts even began to work harder to earn new toys and sweets for their furry cellmates.
