@desi_emo_k friends and family who have gone through the process either private or free health care it sounds the same, I just get a hard time at work due to focus and time management so if I can get the process started and have a valid reason then means I can have stuff in place to help
@desi_emo_k It says on your bio from
US, assuming that’s true I’m im the UK, but it sounds like the process is pretty much the same, just need to find the time from working 6-7 days a week to get the process started
@FcaelessFigure you’ll have to get diagnosed and then ask your doctor, depending on the severity, if you can receive any work accommodations bc of it. i got my doctor to write me a letter saying i needed special accommodations and i used that to sign up with office of disability at my university
@desi_emo_k Tbf I just wanna get diagnosed to get whatever help I can and allows me to let jobs/work know with an official diagnoses and how they can help. I struggle with it severely
@FcaelessFigure there’s other adhd medications other than adderall that may be a bit better. also, i’m on a higher dosage than the standard so it just depends on what they think is the best fit for you, you may only need a low dose. i recommend still getting diagnosed, medicine helps a lot.
@FcaelessFigure it’s a stimulant so it can increase your heart heart and blood pressure. since i have anxiety, i already have a higher heart rate bc im anxious all the time, and so adderall increases it even more.
