Great Programs Have Great Assistant Coaches. We often celebrate the incredible athletes and head coaches in sports. We also need to also recognize the value of the Assistant Coach. Here are 5 Attributes of Great Assistant Coaches. 1: The GLUE - Assistant coaches are the backbone of any team. They are the GLUE. They provide great support to both athletes and head coaches. Whether it's after a tough loss or a great victory, they're there to lift spirits, offer guidance, and keep the team focused on the bigger picture. 2: The TACTICIAN - Assistant coaches are often the masterminds behind the game plan. Their eye for detail and understanding of the sport help shape winning tactics and make in-game adjustments. They make sure the team is prepared to face any challenge on the field. 3: The DEVELOPER - Assistant coaches play a huge role in developing talent and growth in players. They provide feedback, encourage skill development, and motivate athletes to push their limits. 2023 Kirton goes 3-0 in pool play & are currently sitting at the #1 spot in the bracket! @nikpugh5 went 5 innings in Game 1, with 7 Ks. @Gavin_allen2023 with 3 hits. Charlie Burns threw 7 innings in Game 2, striking out 5. @PCaples2023 drove in 3 runs. @Gavin_allen2023 pitched a complete Game 3, striking out 3. @MeierMaddox with 3 hits in Game 2 & 3. Caleb had a great day today at baseball! In 2 games he went a combined 6 for 6 with 3 walks, 2 singles, 2 doubles, a triple and a 2 run homerun! The Legion boys played great today!!
