We know that ‘Gen V’ directly sets up the events of ‘The Boys’, specifically leading into seasons 4 and 5. The spinoff serves as a bridge. And now that ‘The Boys’ S5 is ending, what could ‘Gen V’ even bring to the table at that point? Canceling it was the smart move.
