i hate that shipping discourse is divided between points seen as "opposites" when really they can coexist: you're allowed to enjoy whatever entertainment you want, but you should sometimes stop and think where those preferences come from and whether they're rooted in bad things.

i feel like when we talk about commenting on fics we always talk about the long ones that say everything they loved about it and that’s GREAT but for anyone who doesn’t comment a lot: saying “great chapter👍” is literally enough. you don’t have to write an essay for it to matter!
