🇪🇸 An illegal immigrant from Mali has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl on La Malvarrosa beach in Valencia on April 23, 2025. The 33-year-old illegal migrant, pictured left, is accused of rubbing his groin against the little girl's thigh and trying to kiss her in the ocean. He first saw the girl in her swimsuit in the water when he grabbed her from behind and wrapped his legs around her. To get him off, she pinched him. Far from backing down, the African continued to abuse the girl, grabbing her buttocks to pull her closer and trying to grope her under her swimsuit. During the struggle, the mother noticed what was going on and fully clothed, raced into the water to rescue her. At that moment, the African man let go of the little girl and tried to swim away towards Patacona beach. A group of young people raced to help the little girl and pinned down the man before police could arrive. The African man has already served half his prison time and rest of his sentence is suspended. He has been ordered to be deported to Mali and is banned from Spain for 8 years.

Her name was Carmen De Giorgi, an Italian mother. One evening, Carmen went out with two female friends to a bar for a drink. During the night, she was approached by a man she had never seen before, the Moroccan immigrant Hounafi Mehdi. He made explicit advances toward her, which she firmly rejected. That was enough to trigger the immigrant’s rage. He grabbed her by the neck and tried to strangle her. She managed to break free and screamed inside the bar: “He’s crazy, he put his hands around my neck!” But before she could escape, the Moroccan was on her again. Shouting “All women are wh**es”, “allah protects me” and “In the name of allah”, he pulled out a knife and began violently stabbing Carmen and her friends. Witnesses reported that he repeatedly struck them in the same spots, the back and the throat, leaving them in a pool of blood before fleeing. Carmen died in terrible agony, simply for having rejected a stranger’s advances. Her friends survived. Hounafi Mehdi was arrested shortly afterwards by the Carabinieri. He never explained his motives. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison. According to the prosecutor, he killed Carmen for “base motives”, only because she had turned him down.
