@NoNonsenseND We say it so as to connect...so the other person doesn't feel alone or odd for being that situation/mental state. Being the centre of attention is not even in the same galaxy of existence as us when we're connecting with people.😭 We generally don't even like being noticed/seen.

It’s a hard time of year for me anyway, it’s just a spark of joy

@FetchingDi @Boogoid @scorbetteachEng @ClaireEMcD I wasn’t celebrated much growing up. This is too real. I can’t relate to adults with “birthday weeks” but maybe they actually had mothers that weren’t narcissists so it allowed them become narcissists.
