WUTHERING WAVES IS NOW OFFICIALLY THE #1 GACHA GAME ON PC WORLDWIDE (INCLUDING CHINA!) FOLLOWED BY GENSHIN IMPACT AT #2, BOTH BEING IN THE TOP 6 MOST PLAYED PC GAMES IN CHINA! CONGRATULATIONS! For anyone that was in disbelief or doubted the legitimacy behind Wuthering Waves' domination of the Gacha genre on PC, Lenovo released a "Top PC Games" list for February 2026. These numbers, according to Lenovo, are based on comprehensive data from Lenovo's entire product line, encompassing over 280 million monthly active users, including launches and downloads within China, one of the largest gaming markets in the world. At #5 we see Wuthering Waves (up 2 positions from January,) at #6 is Genshin Impact (up 2 positions from January,) at #7 is Arknights Endfield (down 2 positions from January,) at #9 is Honkai Star Rail (up 2 positions from January,) at #12 we see Zenless Zone Zero (up 1 position from January,) Where Winds Meet also comes in at #14! Once more, this is not indicative of Mobile or Console numbers, nor is it indicative of total revenue per game. As I noted in my Tweet yesterday, Wuthering Waves seems to be ahead of every other Gacha game on PC, but that isn't the case on Mobile. The game sadly isn't too well optimized for mobile devices, and thus, PC is its dominant market. Genshin Impact coming in at #6 in terms of total PC games, and #2 in terms of Gacha games is also absolutely incredible! Just like I noted yesterday in the Newzoo article. Being #2 is an incredible achievement. Final Fantasy XIV remained the #2 MMORPG in the world for a decade, after World of Warcraft. Seeing Arknights Endfield at #7 is also wild. More played on PC in CN than HSR is quite the achievement! What we can gauge from all of this, however, is that Gacha games are continuing to rise in popularity, growing far beyond non-Gacha games, and securing themselves as absolute monoliths in the gaming scene. Congratulations to Wuthering Waves on #1, Genshin Impact on #2, Arknights Endfield on #3, Honkai Star Rail on #4, Zenless Zone Zero on #5, and Where Winds Meet on #6. All very fun games that I've enjoyed in the past. 2026-2027 IS GONNA TAKE GACHA EVEN HIGHER!
