Honestly, gotta admit the @DecibelTrade mainnet launch looks pretty disappointing so far: - fees are way too high - the funding mechanism is kinda weird - UI is buggy and laggy - and there’s basically no real edge over other PerpDEXs #Aptos

@aptoskent @DecibelTrade I trade on Lighter, and my point about “high fees” wasn’t that they’re huge in absolute terms. They’re actually pretty reasonable. What I mean is that when you combine the fees with the funding system, the protocol just isn’t that attractive for users overall.

@desyobs @DecibelTrade Where do you trade usually? Wondering what kind of fees you are used to. UI buggy - hmm let us know any specific cases :)

@aptoskent @DecibelTrade I’m using an iMac, MacBook, and iPhone, so it’s definitely not a hardware issue. By the way, the API works perfectly - the protocol itself runs fine. But the web interface is really unreliable and keeps letting me down.

@aptoskent @DecibelTrade You’ve had this issue since testnet — the price chart freezes and doesn’t update. Sometimes TP/SL works, sometimes it doesn’t. I’m not talking about slippage — I mean it literally throws an error when trying to set TP/SL. This isn’t about the order execution itself.

Hey Luke. Good question. I am not officially an @aptos team member so we do a spaces we can discuss this with them. I do believe they need to communicate better and more frequently. Here is my take: They need to give more details about exactly what their plans are for @DecibelTrade and now also @Backpack. The only way for @aptos to make money at the moment is through perp fees. The colab with backpack is nice but we need more details here about this. How will backpack work with decibel? Who keeps the fees? @aptos is playing catch up here. The concept is fantastic but we need more info on pretty much everything... @AveryChing

@IgMosqueira @LukeDR_ @Aptos We also need to clearly talk about why we even need Aptos @Shelby. Like I said before, for me Shelby is basically a plan B / room to maneuver — so if Aptos Labs doesn’t make it, they can shut the chain down and the team can immediately jump to another project.
