The part that I'm not convinced on is that this is the fault of Liberalism. When explained in detail, we did have a high trust society under a Liberal system that was merely subverted or corrupted by another philosophy; like Marxism. Is Liberalism bad because it's weak, or simply because it cannot defend itself from such ideological thinking?
