@adriamatz Nice one. That's my main idea too. I want to build them a website so they can maybe have a leadership board or smth. Also booking a game etc. This is great what you've done for them. And yes, dune imperium is my favourite game

Love this! I’m obsessed with the Dune board game , easily one of the best. In my hometown we’ve got a small role-playing club, and they have a bunch of board games you can rent for free. Someday I’ll build them an app to manage room and game bookings, right now we literally use a whiteboard 😂 I’ll do it for free too, just to give back for everything they’ve given me.

I'm a huge board game nerd and a member at a local club. They only had a WhatsApp group. So I offered to build them a proper website. For free. Now wondering... Is this a smart way to promote my services? Or should I have charged something?

@dev_blondie my phone broke for a week, and it was the most productive i had been in a while

Started adopting no phone in the evening 📵 Here’s what I’ve noticed so far: - More focused the next day. My brain isn’t craving the feed every minute - Feeling more energized & productive Curious to see where the next 2 weeks take me 😊

@adriamatz This is great! I still try to squeeze my project after work, but at least now I'm limiting myself of checking social media all the time. For now it works, will see how it goes

@dev_blondie I’ve been at it for about 2 months now, ever since I quit my job. Before, I used to squeeze all my indie hacking time right before bed, now I can spread it out during the day, which feels way better.

@realmeggee You should try. It's difficult at first, but then you'll see the benefit from it! And any time your mind goes "oh what's there on insta", just ignore it! Stay strong!

Starting my morning with some thoughts on AI. Seeing what it can do now (spinning up apps in seconds), I'm, for the first time, starting to worry: Will my job as a Frontend Developer even exist in 5 years?

@TosinOlugbenga Yeah, that's what my partner says. We need either to deepen the knowledge to a specific niche, or change a direction a bit.

@dev_blondie You should be worried! Things are changing so fast. So fast. You should start looking at expanding your skills set to Full Stack, DevOps and building AI agents

@valikit14 I see your point. I think it will affect the number of devs in the frontend. As with AI we would only need someone to navigate it, so the number of devs will drop significantly. I think

@dev_blondie Totally valid fear. But honestly, frontend isn’t going away - it’s evolving. Those who can design human-centric experiences with AI will be more in demand than ever.

@TheArk_Master Haha, yeah that's for sure, but it feels we won't need so many devs.

@dev_blondie We will always need humans to steer AI, tell it to move a design part by 5 px and it struggles still lol.
