In a major step toward economic empowerment and poverty reduction, the Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bank of Industry to establish a ₦4 billion matching fund to support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the state. The agreement provides for a ₦2 billion contribution each from the Plateau State Government and BOI, creating a financial pool designed to provide affordable financing for small businesses across all 17 Local Government Areas. Governor Mutfwang described the initiative as a strategic intervention to expand livelihood opportunities, stimulate enterprise development, and reduce poverty, particularly among women and young people. The fund will support businesses with access to financing for equipment acquisition and working capital, enabling them to expand operations, create jobs, and strengthen local value chains. According to the governor, the initiative aligns with the economic vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to grow Nigeria into a one-trillion-dollar economy, while positioning Plateau State to make stronger contributions to the national economy. Through this partnership, the Plateau State Government aims to identify innovative businesses, support entrepreneurship, and ensure inclusive economic growth across the state.

JUBILATION AS GOVERNOR MUTFWANG FLAGS OFF ROAD NETWORK PROJECT LINKING JOS NORTH, JOS EAST, AND JOS SOUTH LGAs Residents and commuters in Jos North, Jos East, and Jos South Local Government Areas have received a major boost as the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, on Friday flagged off the construction of a strategic road network at Haske Gwafan and Kwang A & B. The project will link key institutions including Zion High School, Marysol Hospital, and Omega School across the three local government areas. The groundbreaking ceremony, held at Haske Quarters along Fobur Road in Jos North on March 13, 2026, marks the commencement of a significant infrastructure intervention aimed at improving connectivity, easing transportation challenges, and stimulating economic activities within the affected communities. Speaking during the ceremony, Governor Mutfwang emphasized that the project goes beyond road construction, describing it as a deliberate effort by his administration to strengthen unity and improve the living conditions of residents across the Jos metropolis. According to the Governor, the road network will serve as a strategic link between the three urban local government areas, fostering stronger social and economic ties among the people. By the time this road is completed, nobody will notice the boundary between Jos East, Jos North, and Jos South. It is not just about constructing a road; it is about uniting our people, uplifting communities, and making life better for our citizens, he stated. Governor Mutfwang expressed optimism that the project would significantly improve access to residential estates, schools, and healthcare facilities in the area, while also creating opportunities for businesses to thrive. Earlier in his remarks, the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Sylvanus Dongtoe, described the project as a clear demonstration of the commitment of the “Time Is Now” administration to delivering the dividends of democracy through strategic infrastructure development. Dongtoe noted that communities within the project corridor have faced serious accessibility challenges for years, particularly during the rainy season. He stressed that the new road network would greatly improve access to key institutions such as Zion High School, Marysol Hospital, and Omega School. He further disclosed that the project spans approximately 17 kilometres within the city centre and has been awarded to Jecon Construction Nigeria Limited, a reputable construction firm with the expertise and capacity to deliver quality infrastructure within the stipulated timeframe. Also speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Jos North Local Government Area expressed appreciation to the Governor, describing the road project as a long-awaited intervention that will bring relief to residents who have endured severe hardship due to poor road conditions. He thanked the Governor Mutfwang for the intervention and assured him of the unwavering commitment of the residence of Jos North LGA. He said the governor has demonstrated strong desire to improving the living conditions of the people and described the flagged off as a memorable birthday gift to the three local government areas. Similarly, the Chairman of the Jos North Traditional Council and Ujah Anaguta, Johnson Jairo Magaji II, commended the administration for its people-oriented policies and pledged the continued support of the traditional institution for government programmes aimed at advancing the development of Plateau State. In his goodwill message, the Managing Director of Jecon Construction Nigeria Limited, Mr. Joseph Ezekiel, th Plateau State Government for the confidence reposed in the company and assured that the firm would deliver the project in accordance with the specifications and timeline contained in the contract agreement. ERC20 has been the token standard on Ethereum and its L2s for years, enabling everything from DeFi to DAOs to thrive. But that same standard comes with complete transparency. Every balance. Every transfer. Every transaction. Visible to anyone watching. The problem: Trillions of dollars move onchain with zero privacy: - Your BTC balance? Public. - Your stablecoin payments? Public. - Your DeFi positions? Public. - Your trading strategy? Public. Businesses don't want competitors seeing treasury movements. Individuals don't want neighbors tracking their net worth. Institutions need compliance without broadcasting every move to the market. This isn't a feature, it's blocking real adoption. @Starknet just solved this at the protocol level with STRK20 — a privacy capability applied to ERC-20 tokens at the protocol level. Any token deployed on Starknet gets a privacy mode that can be toggled on or off. What it means: Any ERC-20 deployed on Starknet gets privacy capabilities built in: ✅ Shielded balances ✅ Private transfers ✅ Full DeFi composability ✅ Compliance when required No isolated silos. No fragmented liquidity. Same ecosystem, private by default. Builders can deploy their ERC-20 on @Starknet. Privacy is available at the protocol level. No complex integrations. No custom implementations. Just deploy and your token inherits STRK20 capabilities. ERC20 set the token standard. STRK20 makes privacy the new standard. Privacy as a native property of tokens on @Starknet. For any ERC-20. For every use case. This unlocks: → Private BTC and BTCFi → Private stablecoin payments → Private ETH → Private DeFi at scale Full design details and technical deep dives coming soon. Blockchain adoption doesn't happen when everyone can see everything. It happens when privacy becomes the default. Privacy is here for tokens with STRK20.

GOVERNOR MUTFWANG COMMISSIONS 70 ELECTRICITY TRANSFORMERS, CONCLUDES MOBILIZATION FOR 132KVA TRANSMISSION PROJECT IN SOUTHERN PLATEAU The Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has commissioned 70 electricity transformers for distribution to communities across the State and announced the conclusion of mobilization for the installation of a 132KVA transmission line to serve the Southern and Central Senatorial Zones. Governor Mutfwang made this known while flagging off the distribution exercise, describing the intervention as a bold step towards strengthening power supply and expanding access to electricity, particularly for vulnerable and underserved communities. He explained that although 55 transformers were initially approved, government subsequently granted approval for an additional 15 units, bringing the total number to 70 in response to growing demand. “Access to electricity is not a privilege; it is a right,” the Governor declared, emphasizing that improved power supply remains central to economic growth, small business development, job creation, and overall quality of life. Governor Mutfwang assured the Miango and Rukuba communities that discussions with the Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC) have been finalized to restore electricity to areas that have experienced prolonged outages. He noted that while Nigeria generates significant power, the major bottlenecks lie in transmission and distribution, stressing that transformers play a critical role in evacuating generated energy to end users efficiently and safely. The Governor further revealed that the contractor handling the 132KVA transmission line project covering Central and Southern Plateau has been fully mobilized financially and will soon be deployed to site to commence work. “Our ambition is that within the next two years, Plateau State will become a net seller of energy,” he stated, adding that the State Government is supporting the Nigerian Electricity Supply Company (NESCO) while also expanding investments in solar and other renewable energy sources to diversify the State’s energy mix. Earlier in his remarks, the Commissioner for Water Resources and Energy, Hon. Bashir Lawandi, described the initiative as part of the government’s comprehensive rural electrification drive. He urged benefiting communities to take ownership of the facilities and safeguard them against vandalism. “The transformers being flagged off today will improve voltage stability, reduce power disruptions, and support residential, commercial, and industrial activities,” he said. “They also complement our broader efforts to ensure that energy infrastructure adequately supports water supply schemes and other critical public services.” Speaking on behalf of the beneficiary communities, Da Gufwar Ishaku Audu commended the Governor for the intervention, noting that stable electricity would significantly enhance livelihoods and stimulate economic activities at the grassroots. Representatives of JEDC and NESCO also lauded the State Government’s proactive approach to strengthening power infrastructure across Plateau State. The event was attended by top government officials, traditional leaders, stakeholders, and beneficiaries.
