𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝟖𝐧 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐟𝐢𝐱 𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐭 𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐬? Not an alert. Not a log somewhere. The agent actually reads what went wrong, finds the root cause, patches the workflow, and reruns it while you sleep. Most automation builders I know live the same loop. Something fails, you get pinged, you drop whatever you were doing and open n8n. Then you go execution-by-execution looking for the failing node, patch it, redeploy, and cross your fingers it holds. That loop has eaten some of my weekends. But the failures that hurt aren't even from bad code you shipped. They come from drift. A workflow that ran clean for two months breaks on a Tuesday at 9am because n8n auto-updated overnight and a node got refactored. Or the API you depend on quietly changed its response shape. Or a field that was always a string is now an array. Or the Code node lost env access in 2.0. Or your OAuth scope got deprecated. You didn't change anything. Your stack did. And the fix is almost always a 30-second change. Rename one field, wrap a value in an array, bump a node version. But it takes five hours of "why is this broken" to get to the thirty seconds of "oh, that's it." So I started building a way out. A workflow fails, an agent looks at it, the error, and the surrounding nodes. It decides whether it can fix the workflow, replay it, or call me in. If it can fix it, it fixes it. If it can't, it tells me exactly what to do. I get one Slack message with three buttons. Auto Fix. Replay. Decline. The agent has already done its homework before I click anything. The whole thing is designed to work no matter where your n8n lives. Cloud, self-hosted, local. Same flow. Once it runs unattended for a clean stretch on real production traffic, I'll share the full setup. Code, prompts, the parts that took me three tries to get right. If you've been on-call for your own workflows for too long, follow along. I'll post the breakdown when it's solid.
