I wanted to build a video editor into X like other social apps. I had expected it to take 3 months of engineering time.
Today I decided to try prototyping it myself. I one-shotted a full in-browser editor in 15 minutes.
It felt like I could replace the entire Adobe software suite by Sunday.
Then I asked myself: will videos even be edited manually in 3 months? Chatbots can do reasonably well now.
Product development is getting extraordinarily difficult when the world is changing so fast.

@thdxr @goon_nguyen @opencode While DAU speaks for itself, do people realize OpenCode has a VS Code (Cursor) plugin that blunts out large majority of TUI complaints?
English

I like @opencode
I respect what @thdxr and his team is doing
their effort of making OC and pushing the limit of TUI this far is unimaginable
but i'm still trying to get it...
is it worth it?
like turning a TUI into a GUI... why don't just use GUI?
UX? nope.
feature rich? nope.
performance? does vscode hang in your computer while coding?
they can just build opencode app with much less effort
so... why?

As a total n00b to front-end development, I found this free book really useful. patterns.dev

I just wanted daily programming tips emailed to me so my brain stops rotting.
In 2025 the solution is simple:
😳💀 Ask Cursor + Claude Sonnet 4.5.
It one-shotted the entire app + deployed it to Cloudflare in minutes.

sorry but this is game set match for uber. the clock is already ticking. we’re now likely just arguing over how fast the sand drains.
not going all in on autonomy might genuinely go down as one of the most catastrophic strategic blunders in tech history. they bet the company on a labor mediated marketplace right as labor in that category is getting fully erased.
before someone argues with me on uber eats or freight or whatever, it simply does not matter.

We're officially authorized to drive fully autonomously across more of the Golden State. Next stop: welcoming riders in San Diego in mid-2026! ☀️
