I've been building RAG pipelines for our EdTech platform, and Gemini Embedding 2 just completely removed our biggest bottleneck. Before: students could only ask stuff like 'Read the text on page 5.' Now: they can say things like 'Explain the flowchart on page 5' — and it actually gets it. With native support for video + PDFs (alongside text), students can finally chat naturally with every piece of their course materials, not just the plain text parts. And the 10× cost drop on embeddings compared to what we were paying OpenAI? That's insane. We're switching over as fast as we can.
