ગુજરાત માટે અદ્ભુત સમાચાર ઘોરાડના સંરક્ષણ માટેના પ્રયત્નો ફાઈનલી રંગ લાવી રહ્યા છે. હેવી વીજ લાઇન જેવા પ્રશ્નો પણ ઉકેલાઈ જાય તો કદાચ લાંબાગાળાનું સમાધાન મળશે. Congratulations એ બધાને જેમણે સતત આ દિશામાં પ્રયત્નો કર્યા છે.

Gujarat sees a GIB chick after a decade, through a novel conservation measure - the jumpstart approach, coordinated by the Ministry, State Forest Departments of Rajasthan and Gujarat, and Wildlife Institute of India. Envisioned by PM Shri @narendramodi ji in 2011 to conserve GIB in its natural habitats including Gujrat, Project GIB was launched in 2016. As a result the number of birds in conservation breeding centres, started at Sam and Ramdevra in Rajasthan, have reached 73 with addition of 5 new chicks in this season and we are moving ahead towards rewilding of birds in near future. In achieving another milestone, a female GIB, tagged in August 2025, had laid an infertile egg in Kutch, as this population has lost all its males long back. In a major trans-state conservation effort, a captive-bred GIB egg from the conservation breeding program in Rajasthan was transported by road over 19 hours in a handheld portable incubator and was replaced in the nest on 22 March. The female completed incubating this fertile egg and hatched it on March 26. The field monitoring team found the young chick being reared by its foster mother. This effort is among one of the many steps to recover the critically endangered Great Indian Bustard populations. With the commitment to save GIB, we are making great progress in India’s conservation journey. Congratulations to all scientists, field officers and wildlife enthusiasts who made this possible. We are keeping our fingers crossed for the survival of the chick. અમુક સન્માનો એવોર્ડથી ઉપર ઊઠીને એકદમ સ્પેશિયલ થઈ જાય છે જ્યારે એમાં લાગણી આવે. શિવા પત્રકારત્વ સન્માન એ કોઈ પત્રકાર કે એનું કામ કે એના નામ કે સંઘર્ષનું સન્માન નથી. આ કાર્યક્રમ થકી તમે થોડી ક્ષણો માટે થોભીને પાછળ જુઓ છો અને તમને દેખાય છે એવા સ્તંભો જે દુનિયાને નથી દેખાતા. શિવાની પ્રશાંત દયાળ હોવું કેટલી કિંમત માગી લે છે એ ગુજરાત સમક્ષ પહોંચાડ્યું દાદાએ. એમના પુસ્તક થકી એક નિર્ભીક પત્રકારના સર્જનની વાત દુનિયા સામે આવી. ખૂબ જ કૃતજ્ઞતા સાથે આ સન્માનનો સ્વીકાર કરતી વખતે મારી આંખોની સામે પણ એ જ ચહેરાઓ હતા જેમણે આ દેવાંશીનું ઘડતર કર્યું. ૨૦૧૯માં પ્રશાંત દાદા સાથે મારે કોઈ જ ઘનિષ્ઠ સંપર્ક નહોતો ત્યારે એમણે એક અજાણી અને પોતાનું આકાશ શોધતી છોકરી માટે લેખમાં છેલ્લું વાક્ય લખ્યું હતું… દેવાંશી. તું આજે છે એવી જ કાયમ રહેજે. કદાચ આ સન્માન એ વાતનું રિમાઇન્ડર હતું. અને જાત પાસે અપેક્ષા બંધાઈ કે બદલાતી સ્થિતિઓ અને સમજણ વચ્ચે પણ આ ભાવ સતત ટકી રહે અને દાદા વર્ષો પછી એવું ગૌરવ સાથે કહી શકે કે દેવાંશી… તું ટકી ગઈ. હતી એવી ને એવી જ. નિસ્બત ટકાવી રાખવામાં, લાગણીશૂન્ય થતા અટકાવવામાં સતત જોડાયેલા રહેતા દરેકે દરેક વ્યક્તિનો હૃદયથી આભાર. @Jamawat3

યજુર્વેદ કહે છે ॐ द्यौः शान्तिरन्तरिक्षं शान्तिः पृथिवी शान्तिरापः शान्तिरोषधयः शान्तिः । वनस्पतयः शान्तिर्विश्वेदेवाः शान्तिर्ब्रह्म शान्तिः सर्वं शान्तिः शान्तिरेव शान्तिः सा मा शान्तिरेधि ॥ આ વારસાના આપણે સૌ સંતાનો… આ પ્રશ્ન અચાનક પૂછાયો કે પર્પઝ ઓફ લાઈફ શું અને એટલી જ સરળતાથી જવાબ પણ આપી દીધો, પણ એટલું સમજાય છે કે આ વારસાને જાળવીને જિવાડવો અતિશય કપરો છે. એ પણ એવા સમયમાં જ્યાં ચારેય બાજુ દ્વેષ કરવાના પૂરતા કારણો છે છતાંય આપણને સૌને સૃષ્ટિમાંથી જ એટલી ઊર્જા મળતી રહે કે આપણે આ સભ્યતાનું પોષણ કરી શકીએ. અંતે ઈશ્વરેચ્છા બલિયસી. સાક્ષીભાવે જોતા સમજાય છે કે ભાવના આધારે પ્રકૃતિ બંધાય છે,અને પ્રકૃતિના આધાર પર કર્મ… બધું જ આપણા થકી થઈ રહ્યું છે અને હું માધ્યમ બનું છું. હરી તુ ગાડું મારું ક્યાં લઇ જાય કાંઇ ન જાણું🙏

Expecting that India will hand over Sheikh Hasina under pressure from the Bangladeshi regime is a bit much. Those suggesting so shall rethink. This is the land of the Battle of Bhuchar Mori. Jam Sataji waged a war to protect a Sultan, not a friend, who had sought shelter while being chased by his enemy. Jam Sataji's son, Prince Ajaji, and thousands of soldiers died defending the honour of the sharanagat. Hasina is a friend. India has weathered the Chinese pressure for six decades for giving the Dalai Lama a place to live. The cost of that has been immense but no Indian ever complains. There are no permanent friends or permanent enemies in international relations but handing a sharanagat over goes against the basic Indian ethos. If that happens, it will be an irredeemable shame. Nahin hoga.

અતિશય તોછડાઈ અહંકાર સાથેનું અને અભદ્ર વર્તન કર્યા પછી આ બેન પોતાને પીડિત સાબિત કરી પણ દેતા… સારું છે પોલીસ પાસે બોડીવોર્ન કેમેરા છે બાકી આવા લોકો સમાજ માટે અતિશય ઘાતક છે. સૌથી મહત્વની વાત.. આંખે જોયેલું પણ ખોટું સાબિત થયું.
