@CCD_Essex Totally agree Gary, the L1 was a key course for all new coaches that gave a good balance between theory and practical and all F2F. The responsibilities of the coach were made clear on the grass and gave a good foundation

@developthecoach I would imagine the I2CF provides lots of guidance; however, with the previous Level 1 course, learners had the opportunity to have conversations with tutors and discuss these aspects of coaching. The course created a foundation for developing those core coaching skills. ☹️

I've been thinking about this subject for a while now. I would be interested to know what other coaches or coach developers think.

They were the best courses to deliver and I was fortunate to be involved from their introduction in 2007

I am looking at a means of delivering them again in 2026 so watch this space!!

@Coach_Temisan With only the UEFA B having in situs and a more structured assessment process!!

Increasingly, coaches are starting their UEFA A Licence with just two face-to-face courses (the UEFA C & UEFA B Licence). When I started, you had at least 6: - FA Level 1 - Youth Module Level 1 - FA Level 2 - Youth Module Level 2 - UEFA B Licence - Youth Module Level 3 Is this a concern for coaching nationally?
