I’ve been an 150 guy for 12 years (3x f-150s), it wasn’t strong enough to do heavy lifting, but it was a nice all around balance. I’m currently driving my last f-150. I’ve got a Tesla truck (fingers crossed) being delivered this year. I’ll sell the current f-150 and pickup a 2015-2017 f-350 diesel for the heavy stuff. Times are a changing. To force me over to ev it better be revolutionary. The Tesla truck is weird enough to bring me over, the lightening is a wasted attempt at innovation IMO.

Ford is going to determine the future of how trucks look & function. Not Tesla. Let me explain— Ford is working on their next gen pickup right now— dubbed Project T3. This truck will be the EV successor to the F-150 Lightning, built completely from scratch. Ford can go two routes with the T3. They can adopt a Cybertruck-like approach with durable materials, no paint shop, and a radical structure to decrease production costs. Or, they can continue building a “traditional” truck prone to rust, scratches, and relatively poor performance. By choosing one of these routes, Ford will have another NACS moment. Project T3 will signal to the rest of the industry the threat-level Cybertruck has to legacy product lines. If Ford determines that Cybertruck IS a threat, they’ll produce their own Cybertruck as a result. If other automakers want to compete, they’ll follow suit. This is exactly what happened with NACS. It was Ford’s leadership has brought the entire industry to NACS. The rest of the industry wanted to ignore it. We all know how much Legacy auto has ignored Cybertruck up until this point. They won’t be able to ignore it for much longer.

The question that should be asked is, why do churches feel the need to see growth as success? Because revenue is at the bedrock of the institutional system, if a church grows, it’s resources grow to fund ‘ministry’, if a church is ‘deep’ there is no added value from an institutional perspective. It’s a destructive cycle the institutional church is caught in… and it’s destroyed the church from the inside out.

I never got the whole church size = health thing. There’s healthy small churches and healthy big churches. There’s unhealthy small churches and unhealthy big churches. Why don’t we stop judging butts in the seat (or lack thereof) and maturity of disciples being formed.
