It's morbidly funny how Minus One did essentially nothing for the franchises overall reputation. Like it earned Godzilla its first and only oscar and is one of the most accalaimed films of the century and the big takeaway is "now there's a THIRD good Godzilla movie!!!"

Sometimes people throw around terms like "industry legend" to describe famous game developers, but Vince Zampella was genuinely legendary. Most people have no idea how influential the man was. Director on Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Co-creator of Call of Duty. Then he shipped the iconic first two Modern Warfare games. If he had ONLY done all that, he would be an "industry legend." And then Act 2 of his career was arguably even crazier. He flipped the bird to Activision after they tried to wriggle out of a contractually-owed bonus, started Respawn (taking with him a huge chunk of the MW2 team in the process!) and then shipped Titanfall 1 & 2, Apex Legends, and two of the best Star Wars games ever. That we won't get to see Act 3 of Vince Zampella's career is a tragedy. Pray for his family.

IMAX's new film camera will be named The @IMAX Keighley Camera — honoring both of my parents, who were instrumental in its creation. The camera was first used to film Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, coming to theaters next summer. There’s been a lot of well-deserved attention on my dad and his legacy this year, but my mom has been just as vital to IMAX since the very beginning — and she’s still hard at work there every day. As my dad always said, she was 50% of everything he ever accomplished. I know nothing would make him happier than seeing her contributions recognized as well.
