Looking after Lough Neagh means thinking about the whole system. David Kennedy from Lough Neagh Rivers Trust shared what he learned from the Wales visit, highlighting how important it is to take a catchment-wide approach and involve communities every step of the way.

Catherine McKenna of @Rural Support reflected on the recent Wales study visit, highlighting the importance of supporting farmers through transition while addressing environmental challenges. Solutions for Lough Neagh must work for rural communities as well as the environment.

At our Pathways to a Living Roadmap event this month, Nicholas Ashley-Cooper reaffirmed his commitment to exploring community ownership and management of the Lough. This reflects a growing call from communities across the catchment for a new model of governance.
