The moment you start charging for your knowledge, they drag you. They question you and ask why you are monetizing what they believe should be free. This has happened to several popular creators. They shared content, taught people, and gave massive value. The moment they launched a course, the same audience turned on them.

I am an usher in my church. Every Sunday after service, we count the offering money together and give it to be deposited in the church account. I always saw it as something serious and holy. Then in January, I lost my job. It was sudden. I didn’t have much savings. I kept hoping I would get another job quickly, but weeks passed and nothing came. Money was finishing. I was stressed. February came and Valentine’s Day was close. I still didn’t have a job. I also wanted to buy a gift for my boyfriend. I didn’t want him to think I couldn’t do anything for him. One Sunday while we were counting the offering, I started thinking. There is plenty money here,I told myself. I will just take 50k and replace it when I get a job. My heart was beating fast. But I still took ₦50,000 and kept it in my bag. I felt very guilty after that. I told myself I wouldn’t do it again. But the next Sunday, I still had no job. I was still broke.
