@GeoffreyBoycott The problem with this proposal Sir Geoffrey is that increasing higher rate tax by 1% would raise about £1bn, but the cost of a 1% pay rise for all public sector workers would cost about £18bn. We’d need those 1970’s rates of higher tax (87%) for this to work

I would give essential workers a pay rise and put up the highest rate of tax by 1% or 2% for 2years and then re access. We higher earners can afford it more readily and without these essential workers the whole fabric of society falls down.

Looks like a very positive development. Hopefully our friends @DFKCanada will be able to develop a strong and valuable relationship with @Xero as we have @dfkanz and @DFKUKI
