Youri Tielemans signs for MUFC. Five year deal. Becomes MUFC's 8th Belgian player. And if you can name all seven off the top of the your head then you really need to get outside for some air.

The only people saying this are the bitter English, because they are disgusted to admit and live up to their own past of colonialism so try bring others into it, ask anyone from the chubut and they’ll say they are happy about the Welsh, ask any English colony and it’s different

Some amount of Embittered Brits tying themselves in knots justifying occupying some once deserted islands over *8000* miles away from where 🇬🇧 actually is. That Empire Twitch just won't stop twitching 😏
Duncan MacLeod@DuncanCantDie

The Falkland Islands are literally the only place where the indigenous population is British. The British aren’t even indigenous to the British Isles but the falklands were completely uninhabited before the British settled there. So no, they shouldn’t be Argentinian.

@_Brian99_ You should be careful about saying people living on an island near a larger land shouldn't have self-determination but should accept being part of thar larger land.

Argentina hates England way much more than England hates Argentina. Here’s my reasoning: Of course, everything goes back to the Malvinas (Falklands), especially in 1982 when the military government of Argentina decided to put troops on the ground. The occupation was short-lived and the might of UK’s combined forces was overwhelming. After 74 days, Argentina surrendered. The death toll was 649 Argentines and 255 Brits. Now, in Argentina this war drummed up an incredible sense of patriotism. Despite abuses of human rights happening back on the mainland by the military dictatorship, they successfully united the Argentine people against a common enemy outside its borders. Those young conscripts, that were basically sent to die, became martyrs. Argentine heroes. To this day, Argentina still claims Las Malvinas. In Argentina they are everywhere: posters, flags, songs, literature, stickers, tattoos. A common image is the outline of the islands colored in with the Argentina flag. During the World Cup, fans still sing about Las Malvinas and the fallen soldiers who gave their lives to defend their country from the British. If that’s the feeling today…just imagine what it was like in 1986 when England and Argentina faced each other in the World Cup quarterfinal. Maradona scored a goal with his hand, a tit-for-tat that symbolically avenged those slain in Las Malvinas. Then in that same match, Maradona produced the most beautiful goal of all time. There, he cemented his status as a national legend. Then he won the World Cup. People will label Argentina as cheaters. Argentines will pushback: “we stole a goal from the thieves of the world.” They’ll often say the English are pirates, due to their imposing imperial history. And it’s that grand imperial context that makes me question the importance of The Falklands in the British psyche. In the greater scheme of British history, the Falklands War feels like a mere footnote (with all due respect for British casualties). A 2-month war in the frigid South Atlantic is easily overshadowed by countless conquests that helped shape the world as we know it today. England will feel forever wronged for a quarterfinal won by an illegitimate goal. A sports reason for them to have contempt for Argentina. But Argentina will feel wronged for so much more than just football. For them it’s about family, suffering and blood. It’s something that they will NEVER forget nor forgive.

It’s a shame Argentines are so obsessed with the Falklands because I think it’s an interesting culture, in many ways very similar to Britain: - Love football and rugby - Roast beef on weekends - Drink leaves steeped in boiling water all the time - Welsh-speaking minority

It’s a fair question. My point isn’t that there was no contact, there clearly was. I just don’t think every physical duel is automatically a foul. For me, it looked like a normal shoulder-to-shoulder challenge rather than enough to overturn a goal, which is why I disagreed with the VAR intervention.

This is a scandal in my eyes. There is simply no foul by Erling Haaland on Elliot Anderson. Norway’s second goal should have stood. Instead, it’s ruled out. ❌ Fifteen minutes later, Norway hit the post. Sander Berge goes for the rebound with Ezri Konsa on his back, gets dragged down, and it’s a clear penalty. Arguably even a red card. The incident isn’t even reviewed. 🤯 Two huge decisions in a match where World Cup qualification is still on the line. Credit to Norway for standing tall despite some dreadful officiating tonight. 🇳🇴👏 #NORENG #FIFAWorldCup #WorldCup2026 #Norway #England #Haaland #Football

@D_Thon @bwfc_elliot Players wildly instist they didn't kick it out for a throw when they did. Players appealing is not proof of anything. The grainy video shows nothing conclusive. The sensors not triggered. Just shrug your shoulders and go to bed

FIFA Media@fifamedia

Before England’s goal in minute 45+2 against Norway, the sensor in the Connected Ball showed no peak in the 'heartbeat of the ball' when in the air, and therefore no evidence that the ball touched the overhead wire and changed the movement of the ball.

@theoldzealand Anywhere else on the pitch it's a foul. Maybe a soft foul, but not clear and obvious error

The right hand thrown into the air as he goes down is the tell. It was a flop and should never have been rewarded. Absolutely gutted for Norway and their supporters. They won the respect of football fans around the world. Much love. 🇳🇴
CarefreeFC@RhysCarefree

You don’t fall like that unless you want to go down. Joke of a decision, Anderson has flopped and they’ve fallen for it. Haaland just making half a yard, you see that every corner.

@BradHoweee I forgot is the entire squad was British. 🤣🤣🤣 British fans are so annoying. The only time they’ve won it was in 66 but yeah it’s coming home lmfao There is a reason a majority of the world was rooting against you.

What a plain robbery! Haaland pushed a player that had put hands on him! Ref Turpin is one of biggest trick the power is applying on football, understand nothing of football and is there to protect status quo! Norway fully robbed and England making weight their politics!
