He is an engineer and author that decided to put his time with his convictions and successfully ran for a house seat. Democracy as designed.

3) PUP - Morbid Stuff PUP shows their growth with witty and catchy lyrics on several songs along with driving instrumentation. The punk rock energy bounces out of record making it hard not nod with each song Song to Try: See You at Your Funeral

7) Tyler, the Creator - IGOR With some of the best lyrics of the year, Tyler's album is a relatable emotional breakup record and has great production to boot. Song to Try: ARE WE STILL FRIENDS?

5) Wallows - Nothing Happens Nothing Happens is chalked full of catchy indie rock songs. Like really catchy... Each song grooves well into the next to create a fun Dancy album. Song to Try: Scrawny
