Drem-Gullane Path Campaign

Great news! @CALAHOMES planning application to retain the upgraded tarmac path on the Saltcoats core path has been approved by @ELCouncil. Since its upgrade, the core path has become a popular and well-used route for walking and cycling by local residents and visitors.

This upgraded historic core path is already a valued path for Gullane locals. @CALAHOMES has applied to retain it permanently after heavy use by walkers, cyclists & families. Let's keep this community asset. Please retweet. Link to comment: pa.eastlothian.gov.uk/online-applica…

Cold and frosty start to the day with a walk along the @CALAHOMES-funded path to the Mill Burn, near West Fenton. Stopped to take in this beautiful sunrise.

A fantastic initiative led by East Lothian Climate Hub. Get involved planting 500m of hedgerow at Ballencrieff Farm. Hedgerows support 2,000+ wildlife species. No experience needed—just enthusiasm.

NEWS: 📢🚨Residents of Drem have handed a petition to @ELCouncil calling for urgent action on speeding. In recent weeks, a van demolished the village’s pedestrian island. Safety must come first— @norriehamp must act now to slow traffic before tragedy strikes.

We wrote to @WWCTrustScot on 4 Sept: help us get @ELCouncil to engage the Drem landowner on a safe route.  Silence since. Is this how a charity for walking & cycling delivers its mission?
