@Awk20000 It’s literally so much more expensive to make a sandwich yourself and there’s so much food waste.

@DrKarlynB We’re talking about buying one $15 sandwich versus spreading the cost of the ingredients over a certain amount of time. However much you pay, in the moment it’ll be more than $1.

@theobjectivist It’s also anti-capitalist to have government fund private companies with funds and or tax breaks. Can we get government out of both sides.

This is pure anti-capitalist statism and should be condemned. A bill "RESTRICTING" who may buy a single family home overrides the property rights of every American seller. The owner has the right to sell to the highest bidder. Banning that voluntary exchange by federal fiat is the same coercion the left uses, with a new villain. BlackRock did not cause the crisis. The Federal Reserve did, by inflating the dollar. Zoning boards did, by criminalizing supply. Institutional investors hold roughly 3% of single family rentals. You are cheering a scapegoat hunt that leaves every actual cause untouched. "Homes for people, not corporations" is collectivist sloganeering. A corporation is individuals voluntarily pooling capital. To say capital may not bid is to make property rights conditional on tribal approval. When Trump and Warren agree 396 to 13, ask which premise the right just surrendered. The premise they surrendered: That property rights are absolute.

🚨 JUST IN: The House has OVERWHELMINGLY passed a Trump-backed bill to RESTRICT companies like Blackrock from buying up single family homes LONG overdue! 🔥 It’ll now head to the Senate, then to POTUS’ desk 🇺🇸

@N8TheCre8tive Government also wants to inflate wages for said burrito makers. That’s inflationary as well, no? I just choose to not purchase said $17 burrito.

The burrito is $17 because their operation costs are more expensive. If everybody stopped buying chipotle they will just lay ppl off not drop the prices. This isn’t an organic market issue. It’s an artificial inflationary issue. Stop absolving the government from responsibility.
Tara@EmbracingTara

Chipotle burritos cost $17 because the market supports $17 burritos If everyone said, I'm not paying $17 for a burrito, fuck that, Chipotle burritos wouldn't cost $17. Chipotle burritos cost me $0.00. Do you know why? I choose not to purchase them. Is this clocking at all?

@delatorre Would rephrase it to it forced the umpires to use the ‘real’ strike zone versus an arbitrary zone of each’s own making.

@DayDrinkingMan @kim_siever Wrong. She meal preps each weekend for the week. Point is, she’s not asking me for money nor is she carrying credit card debt. She can do what she wants with her money. Received a healthy tax refund snd said Dad, put that on my Roth IRA. Something says we did something right!

Wal-Mart generated $700 billion in revenue last year but yet, 30% of their employees are on tax payer funded welfare. Why are Republicans not upset about this? They are more upset with the worker than the corporation paying poverty wages.

National debt is barreling towards $40 trillion. 27% of this debt occurred under Donald Trump, despite him only being President for 2% of American history. Republicans are terrible for the economy.

"Buying lunch out every day was never affordable" Bitch just 15 years ago $5 worth of fast food could feed you for an entire workweek. That's less than 1 hour of minimum wage pay by the way! Boomers are desperate for us to forget that at one point fast food was price competitive with cooking at home. In fact this strat right here likely came in under the per-meal cost of anything you could make at home for the same amount of calories and fillingness. Remember, these used to be bigger, they have shrinkflated in addition to becoming more expensive.

@evan_doji Exactly. Pound of roast beef is about $15 and a sack of hoagies is what $5. That’s a week’s worth of footlongs for basically the same price
