The real U.S. fertility story is the massive drop in fertility among women in their 20s. The birth rate for women in their 20s has fallen nearly 40% over the past two decades. This is the group that has carried the most weight in determining the direction of the overall fertility rate. As we all know, women's prime fertility window is in their 20s, not 30s or 40s. Relying on women to catch up their fertility in their 40s is not going to help much. @FamStudies:

🚨Utah's housing crisis is crushing young people. It now takes the average household 14.2 years to save for a 10% down payment on a median home, far worse than many states and a brutal reality for Millennials and Gen Z. Skyrocketing prices, chronic housing shortages, explosive population growth, and heavy regulations have made homeownership nearly impossible for young Utahns. Most are locked out, stuck renting forever while watching the American Dream slip away in their own state. Utah is failing its next generation.
