British Airways has launched a new eastbound transatlantic day flight from Newark. The flight, BA180, will launch on Monday 6 June departing Newark at 07:55 and arriving at London Heathrow at 19:10.

@BeschlossDC Was in CBC Paris office talking with a producer. The bells on the telex machines started ringing. We went to look. AP had moved a story on the (successful) launch, which stopped halfway thru 1st para. Then another story started, saying Challenger had exploded. We were dumbstruck.

Robert Harlan was a great African American leader in the late 1800s. History has forgotten him, but his legacy still impacts our world, as does that of the man who was believed to be his half-brother, John Marshall Harlan. politico.com/news/magazine/…
