How would relegation affect you as a fan? What impact would it make?

@AlexanderBrkr All valid points that have been made by many people. In fact, @mywhufc has been making that point for some time. Years, even. The only thing I disagree with is your assertion that we will be fine. I believe we will go down, & I fear a spiral is more likely than straight back up.

I think sooner or later, West Ham's constant swinging between styles of play is going to bite them. Even now if they sack Potter and go for Nuno who'll play completely different football, that'll mean half their squad needs to adapt. In the same way that, when they went from Moyes to Lopetegui/Potter, basically the entire squad had to make a massive adaption - and a really poor 2024 summer recruitment drive didn't help matters. They've got pretty good quality in Paqueta, Bowen, Summerville, Fernandes - but by running the club in this way, you do run the risk of doing a Southampton. Trying to play more physical, direct football with a team that's not been built to play that way 🤷‍♂️ Personally, I think they will be fine this season, with or without Potter. I haven't watched them vs Palace yet, but thought they were the better team for 60 minutes against Spurs. Also, once the new signings bed in, things should get better. Equally, if they sack him and brought in Nuno, for example, I think their quality is good enough to avoid relegation. But you can understand why the fans are so frustrated. Just been going round in circles since the Conference League win, when they've had the opportunity to kick on and climb up the table if they got the right manager/better recruitment.

@dhmeyer I remember being invited to the 18th Birthday celebration (still have the t-shirt). We drove down from upstate, where we had moved to, and got the parking spot for the first time EVER right in front of our apartment building in which we still had a place. Great night.

Relegation I just can’t see any improvements from the shite of last season
