I’m depressed that even after this massive Somali fraud was exposed by brave Nick Shirley, the feckless Senate still voted against Rand Paul’s amendment to cut $5 Billion in new refugee welfare. It would have passed with a simple majority, but 21 Republicans voted with the Dems!

🚨 Members of Congress should be ashamed of themselves. The amount of corruption that has been exposed is absurd. All at the expense of the American taxpayers. Yet the 535 members turn a blind eye and keep handing out blank checks with no accountability, year after year. Inexcusable and pathetic! Agree?

The largest U.S. health insurance companies aren’t just insurers anymore. They own hospitals, employ doctors, run clinics, operate pharmacies, and control pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) that decide which drugs you can get and how much you pay. In one revealing moment at a Senate hearing, executives were asked to raise their hands if their company: - Owns/controls a health insurance division - Employs providers or owns clinics/specialty pharmacies - Owns/controls a PBM - Has a legal duty to maximize shareholder value Almost every major hand stayed up. They diagnose, treat, dispense drugs, set prices, and decide coverage—all while legally obligated to prioritize profits over patients. One entity now controls almost every step of your healthcare journey. That’s not competition. That’s consolidation.

Surgeries are difficult to schedule because surgeons aren’t allowed to own hospitals. We can’t get nearly as many cases done as we want because bureaucrats stand in our way. I take around 12 days of call a month and haven’t had a non-work trip with my family in years.

At the end of the day, Congress is full of weak people content managing the slow decline of our country. As long as they keep climbing the “DC” ladder and getting the occasional earmark, they aren’t bothered by the broader structural failures. We need more fighters.
