one of the worst trends i’ve seen especially among working professionals and students living away from home is ignoring calls from their parents. the phone rings, they see "mum calling", and instantly their mood changes. they either let it ring or reply with a rushed i’m busy or i’ll call later. it’s almost like we’ve normalized emotional distance as if success, career, or independence means disconnection. lots of individuals have started taking people who care about them for granted. pick up the call. ask about her. tell her what’s going on in your life. she just wants your attention for five minutes. you post about gratitude, discipline, and mental health. yet you can’t answer your mother’s call? i’ve seen men build careers, muscles, and wealth but completely fail at the basics of love and presence. you need to start giving a damn about the people who raised you. because one day, those calls will stop coming forever and that silence will haunt you in a way no failure ever can.

He’s now seeking divorce on these grounds, claiming that wife's status was hidden from him, but the wife refuses to separate and her parents even accuses him of being the source, despite medical evidence showing otherwise. The takeaway for both genders is, offer and request STI screening before marriage. It’s mandatory in several countries with high HIV prevalence and advised in nations where infection rates are relatively lower.
