@harajukuamish It's so sad :( I remember reading that she spent the last few days rewatching the same sitcoms over and over again

@dhuvwu so immensely sad for her. she also long had issues from their overbearing controlling and cruel mother, which not many people seem to know about either, i think especially because of the wholesome carpenters family image. her parents definitely contributed to her downfall :(

@harajukuamish bulimia caused karen a lot of harm :( read that she had high blood sugar due to forced feeding during her hospital stays and richard's insistence on pursuing his career only made things worse for her, she was really depressed due divorce

@dhuvwu karen actually died at a healthy, while slim, weight. she had gained weight the previous 2~ish(?) years and was seriously attempting anorexia recovery for awhile, but unfortunately while she increased her intake and appeared well to others, she was secretly severely bulimic.
