Ella Langley joins Megan Moroney as the second female country artist this year to top the Billboard 200 chart, with Dandelion debuting at No. 1 this week. Moroney previously reached the top spot on March 7 with Cloud 9. The last time two female country artists achieved this in the same calendar year was over a decade ago, in 2012 with Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away and Taylor Swift’s Red. Langley also becomes just the 11th woman in country music this century to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

I don’t think Ella Langley is MAGA, she’s just conservative. I side eye her for performing at the Kid Rock fest this summer. However, I do get why she’s not saying what her position is. She’d alienate herself before ever really taking off, esp as a woman in country music.
