‼️IMPORTANT UPDATE ‼️ Dear Community, Since 2021, we have dedicated our efforts to building an educational metaverse. However, we must today share a critical update regarding the legal and financial status of Mainbot. Despite the commitment of our teams and the support received at the early stages of the project, the evolution of the Web3 and Metaverse markets since 2022 has significantly altered the economic conditions under which the Winkyverse was initially conceived. As a result, the Winkyverse platform and its associated developments (including Lands and WinkyBots) will no longer be maintained by the current team. Access to the platform will remain available for 30 days, until 9th of April, at which point the service will be permanently shut down, unless a takeover offer is accepted by the court. Unfortunately, due to the global financial situation of the company, our historical educational robotics division is also unable to continue its operations. 🔹Context of the decision This decision is primarily driven by market and financing constraints. The global slowdown in the Metaverse sector has resulted in adoption levels significantly below initial industry expectations, making the long-term sustainability of the project economically unviable under current market conditions. From a financing perspective, Mainbot had announced a conditional funding framework of approximately €6.6 million, subject to predefined milestones and successive tranches. While the first tranche (approximately €1 million) was successfully unlocked and fully allocated to the development and operation of Winkyverse, subsequent tranches were not released due to changes in market conditions and the resulting strategic reassessment by stakeholders. Consequently, the project did not secure the additional funding required to complete the roadmap. In practical terms, the funds initially raised for Winkyverse have been fully utilized within the project, but they were not sufficient to deliver the full ambition originally envisaged. 🔹Formal Legal Proceedings Due to the exhaustion of available resources and the inability to secure further financing, Mainbot is no longer in a position to sustain its operations. This applies to both the Winkyverse project and our educational robotics division. Consequently, Mainbot has filed for [Redressement Judiciaire / Insolvency Proceedings] before the Commercial Court of Paris. This legal framework is now the only viable path to manage the company’s obligations under court supervision. 🔹Bidding Process and Asset Disposition In accordance with standard legal procedures for reorganization, a formal bidding process (appel d’offres) will be initiated under the supervision of the court-appointed administrator. This mandatory step is designed to identify potential third-party buyers interested in acquiring all or part of the company’s assets, including the Winkyverse intellectual property and our robotics division. This process will follow a strict judicial calendar, and all expressions of interest must be submitted to the administrator within the legal timeframe established by the Court. The goal of this process is to explore any possibility for the project's continuation under new ownership. 🔹What about the $WNK token? The $WNK token will remain available for purchase and trading on decentralized exchanges (DEXs). This update reflects the discontinuation of the Winkyverse project and does not constitute any commitment, representation, or guarantee regarding the token’s future market performance, liquidity, price, or value. 🔹Final Words We deeply regret the impact this situation has on our community, partners, and employees. This is a painful conclusion to an ambitious journey, and we want to sincerely thank everyone who supported the vision of Mainbot over the years.
