@didery_chii @BBCWorld Sentencing and asset‑recovery are separate steps. China will retrieve all illicit funds legally no matter what penalty is given. Strict punishment prevents further corruption, while fund recovery offsets state losses for separate goals.

No. People only keep laws when there is no opportunity to break them. So China is going to be killing its people endlessly if they don't consider alternatives.

I hope he lives. I believe that the life of any single human is worth far more than all the money of this world. Money is only a piece of paper that a government wrote a number on and the public believes that the number is the value of the little paper. That's delusion. Worth no killing
