The Switch 2 is selling faster than any home game machine in history and has popular hits like Pokémon Pokopia and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, but the company’s shares have dropped for five straight months the worst run in ten years and the stock has lost nearly half its value since August. The problem is that Nintendo is selling the console at a loss due to higher costs for memory chips, shipping, and materials, so all eyes are on this Friday’s earnings report to see what the company will do about pricing.

I think what has surprised me most this last year is how little I actually want a Switch 2 now. Early on, briefly, I felt like I was missing out and every now and then I'm thinking it'd be cool to play Bananza. But after getting a Legion Go it would feel like such a downgrade rn

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has explained why Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S at first. It is not because of any deal that makes the game exclusive to PlayStation. “No, historically, Rockstar has released games on consoles first,” Rockstar is focusing on its “core consumer” the main players who use consoles. Zelnick added that the team will be “judged by serving the core” and that if the core consumer is not “served first and best,” reaching other players could be an issue. This is the same plan Rockstar used before. Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 both launched on consoles years before they came to PC. Grand Theft Auto 6 is still on track to release in 2026 on consoles. A PC version is expected to follow later.

If you want to compare that to being "sold out" then every other system in history that is no longer being produced would also be "sold out" as well, hence the Dreamcast reference.
