Her name was Liana, she was a 16-year-old Ukrainian refugee living in Germany. She was walking home from her apprenticeship when a migrant began sexually harassing her. If the authorities had done their job, Liana would still be alive. And it gets worse. Liana’s mother knew there would be no real justice, and she was right. A German court has now ruled that the Iraqi migrant who killed her will serve no prison time, claiming he suffers from “mental health issues.” He will instead stay in a comfortable psychiatric facility, paid for by German taxpayers.
