India–Kenya digital partnership takes a significant step forward On the sidelines of the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, India and Kenya signed the Implementation Framework Agreement today for a DigiLocker pilot project in Kenya. The solution will be co-developed by @NeGD_GoI with @MoICTKenya, fully customised to Kenyan requirements, under the Development Cooperation Programme of @MEAIndia. The DigiLocker solution will enable secure digital storage and real-time verification of official documents, reduce paperwork, and enhance access to public services for citizens, students and businesses — advancing inclusive Digital Public Infrastructure collaboration between 🇮🇳 and 🇰🇪. Kenya today signed the DigiLocker Implementation Framework Agreement (IFA) with the Republic of India under the Kenya–India bilateral digital cooperation MoU. This milestone advances secure and paperless government services through DigiLocker, enabling trusted digital document issuance and verification, and citizen-controlled digital credentials.
