My opinion but you dont need to fork if all you needed to do was update the software to be compliant..

It’s wild to see how highly some people are held up, even after being exposed for taking advantage of others, promoting projects that harmed many, or continuing to push the same cycles under different names. Instead of holding people accountable, many choose to align with them because speaking on reality, conflict, or misconduct doesn’t help marketing, engagement, or reach. Influence is highly sought after in these spaces, Kinda reminds me how a lot of people who never had this kind of attention or reach growing up now suddenly have it, and it shows. Some of the same people who were too shy to speak up, too scared to stand on anything, or constantly looked for validation back then are now moving off influence instead of principles. The platform changed, but the need for acceptance never did and the actions is what speaks and reveals. Too many people stay silent when influence becomes more valuable than integrity. And that silence is exactly what allows these patterns to continue repeating.
