It's extraordinary that my daughter was acquitted on all charges after damaging drones in an Israeli-owned weapons factory, which she told the jury she was proud to do. And now she has a lot to say... 1/6 standard.co.uk/news/crime/gov…

William Dalrymple - Scottish historian “I thought the Romans came up with the word ‘Palestine’, but in fact Palestine is as old as literacy itself. In Egyptian form it appears as ‘Peleset’; the Assyrians refer to it; and Herodotus, the father of history, also speaks of Palestine

NHS CHIEF EXECUTIVE WARNED PATIENTS WERE DYING. THE NHS PAID £500,000 TO SHUT HIM UP. Gary Walker ran United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust. He was good at his job. He turned around a trust drowning in debt and kept emergency care running when the system was falling apart. Then he refused an order. The East Midlands Strategic Health Authority told him to hit 18-week waiting list targets for non-emergency patients. Whatever the demand. Walker said no. Emergency patients come first. That is how hospitals are supposed to work. So they sacked him. The official reason? He swore in meetings. Then came the "supergag." A settlement worth at least £500,000 of public money, so secret Walker was forbidden from even acknowledging it existed. Not just silenced. Silenced about being silenced. He sat on it for three years. Then in February 2013, live on BBC Radio 4's Today programme, he broke it. He told the country what he'd seen. The capacity crisis. The bullying from the Strategic Health Authority. The pressure to prioritise spreadsheets over people in A&E. The @NHS response? They smeared him. Then blacklisted him. Two years later he was still unable to find NHS work. The Mid Staffs inquiry had just concluded that two years and £19 million in public money found exactly zero individuals accountable for hundreds of patient deaths. Walker watched the announcement and decided enough was enough. NHS called gagging orders "unacceptable" in the same breath they were enforcing one. The people who ordered him out? Carried on. The system that silenced him? Still running. Sources: @BBCNews @BBCRadio4 @TheBureauInv @guardian @WhistleUK

🔴 İsrailli orkestra şefi Ilan Volkov, Londra’da İsrail’in Gazze’ye yönelik saldırısını kınadı.

On behalf of their client, Zara Sultana, Bindmans Media and Information Law Practise Group requires that I publish the following statement on X, and that such statement must be clearly visible and pinned to my profile for a continuous period of no less than 24 hours: “On 30 March 2026, I published a post on my X account addressed to Zarah Sultana in which I stated that she encourages and incites violence and is friends with terrorists. Those statements are false. I was wrong and offer my sincere apologies to Ms Sultana for the harm and distress caused to her.” It is my very great pleasure to do this, and I reiterate my sincere and repeated offer to meet with Miss Zara Sultana in person to resolve our differences.

NHS FILED 200 COMPLAINTS AGAINST A DOCTOR. EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS LIES. Dr Raj Mattu was a cardiologist at Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry. In 2001 he spotted something management had apparently missed: squeezing five patients into cardiac bays built for four was killing people. A 35-year-old died because staff could not physically reach him through the overcrowding. Dr Mattu told @BBC (@nhsuhcw). He filed reports. He raised alarms. The NHS response was textbook. They suspended him. Then they filed 200 complaints against him to the General Medical Council. Not a typo. Two hundred. Over eleven years. Every single one was rejected. A tribunal later heard that a senior manager had said : don't worry about a parking ticket, we want to get him off the road completely. The suspension followed within weeks of that conversation. Dr Mattu was sacked in 2010. He spent over a decade unable to practise cardiology while the trust spent an estimated £14 million of public money fighting to keep him out. His health deteriorated. He underwent major lung surgery. His colleagues described him as being hounded mercilessly. In 2016 an employment tribunal ruled he had been unfairly dismissed. He was awarded £2.5 million in compensation including tax contributions. The tribunal found the dismissal was inextricably linked to his 2001 whistleblowing. It confirmed he was blameless. The CEO who oversaw the whole campaign, David Loughton, was later awarded a CBE. The doctor who tried to save them got destroyed. The managers who destroyed him got decorated. Hannah Spencer delivers her second speech in parliament, and does so on the Royal Address on behalf of the Green party "And this is only the second time I have made a speech here, so I hope you will all bear with me if I get any protocols wrong. Um. In my maiden speech, I gave a shout-out to the many professions and communities that haven't been well represented here in Parliament in the past, and I made a promise to help give them a voice." "And today it feels especially important to keep that promise because there's sadly not enough in the King's Speech that is going to make their lives significantly better. And that is why us Greens have tabled a reasoned amendment for all the people working hard, or to raise a family, or to just get through each day, because everyone deserves a safety net and a chance to get ahead." "For everyone who wants things to be different, one in three households in Gorton and Denton live in fuel poverty, and the UK has got some of the leakiest homes in Europe. And I know that because I have worked on thousands of them in my last job as a plumber." "And so if we want to cut energy bills for good, we really do need a properly funded and a properly regulated national home insulation scheme, and to go even bigger on renewable energy. And that is where investment should be going, not into nuclear power." "And the King's Speech includes some steps in the right direction, but it is nothing like the transformative, progressive programme that this moment demands. It doesn't rise to the climate and nature crisis that is happening now, and that's a crisis that can't be separated from the inequality and cost-of-living crises that are happening too, because it is always the poorest people that suffer the most here in our country and around the world." "And while certain people will claim that climate action is pushing up bills, we know that that isn't true, and we know that some of the people saying that are being bankrolled by the very companies causing climate destruction and ripping off our constituents." "And the Representation of the People Bill must go further on cleaning up politics because a greener, more affordable, more secure future is possible if you stand up to those vested interests and if we're prepared to admit that obscene wealth is damaging our country." "And people out there are so angry at the gap between the super, super rich and all the rest of us getting even bigger, and they want something equally big done about it. They don't want any child to go hungry, and they know that a free hot school meal for every child up to the age of 16 is possible if extreme wealth is taxed fairly." "They want public transport to be more affordable, and they know that we could start by giving free bus passes to all the under-22s, again, paid for by our tax system being made fairer." "They want everyone to have a roof over their head, to get a doctor's or a dentist appointment without struggle, and for the NHS to be run for the public good, not to line shareholders' pockets. And they know that change is possible if only this government, a Labour government, would tax extreme wealth fairly." "Our Green amendment includes new powers to control rents. Greens welcomed the changes in the Renters Reform Act and now plans for more social housing. But far too many people are still struggling to pay their rent and make ends meet. So alongside action to bring down energy and water bills, it is time to get a grip on the cost of renting too." "And now I was elected to give a voice to a politics that truly represents everyone. This is the first King's Speech I've been in Parliament to hear, and honestly, what I'm hearing isn't gonna give everyone the meaningful change that we and they all know is possible." "So Greens will have no hesitation to use our individual and collective voices over the coming months to welcome progress when it's made, but crucially, to demand the change that people were promised and the change that people deserve to have." "Thank you. Hear, hear."

Heartbreaking moments as members of the Lebanese Civil Defense receive the news that two of their fellow rescuers have been killed by terrorist Israel. These are the men who spend their days pulling others from beneath the rubble, racing toward fire while everyone else runs away, carrying the wounded, searching for survivors, and trying to preserve what little humanity remains amid destruction. And then, in a single moment, the rescuers become the ones needing to be mourned. No speeches can describe the pain on the faces of men who left home together for a rescue mission… and returned carrying the names of their own brothers. In Lebanon, even those trying to save lives are no longer spared from Israeli death.
