I've been quiet on here because my life has been turned upside down. My daughter Zoe is in prison 💔 She's being treated like a terrorist for taking action against an Israeli arms firm Read the petition or this 🧵 1/ Bit.ly/Filton10Petiti…

UPDATED as last one accidentally included a photo of me that should not have been taken! I am staying off social media for a while & I am not looking at posts, whilst my nervous system recalibrates after an incredibly stressful year in what has been a hideous, soul destroying 2 years of bearing witness to a livestreamed genocide of a community I love, lived in & monitored human rights in. I will be back. In the meantime I wanted to make this video just to say thank you to all those who stood in solidarity with me & supported me over this year. I am so very grateful for you all. Please do likewise for all those going through similar during these dark days of slipping authoritarianism & do not doubt we can win, it happens the moment we unite around that which is important, the right to freedom & a life of dignity. Thinking particularly of the #Filton24 @swilkinsonbc, @TonyGreenstein, Dr Ghassan Abu Sitta, @ousmannoor, @richimedhurst & @doctor_rahmeh. May we mature enough also to realise that we do not need to agree with someone on everything to recognise that they have been unfairly targeted & subjected to state oppression. Remember the words of our brother Nelson Mandela 'it always seems impossible until it's done' Thank you & as always #FreePalestine

I've been shocked, but not surprised, by the mainstream press coverage of Zoe's trial - the first trial for the Filton 24 1/

It's the last day of the judicial review where @HudaAmmori is fighting the proscription of Palestine Action, so I'm sharing this poem again in her honour. I wrote it the day the ban came into force. I feel like whether or not justice is served today, this poem has come true🌹

A judge gets pulled from the Palestine Action judicial review at the last minute, and the Ministry of Defence refuses to explain why. The three replacement judges include a former government lawyer and a judge who previously ruled in favour of allowing F-35 components to be sent to Israel. More than 2,350 peaceful protesters risk being branded “terrorists” for holding cardboard signs protesting Britain’s complicity in genocide, all while the government handpicks who hears the case. This is what an attack on our rights looks like. We cannot stay silent. We must push back.
