Significant glitches have been observed on the DIR-3 KYC WEB platform.
Initially, the system incorrectly indicates that the address field is mandatory, despite it being pre-filled.
Subsequently, upon refreshing the page (by pressing F5), the system erroneously flags the passport number as mandatory, even though it is already pre-filled and non-editable.
In a further instance, the platform incorrectly requires a Permanent Account Number (PAN), which is not mandatory for non-resident directors.
Additionally, the dropdown menu for selecting professional status is non-functional.
These persistent issues make it incredibly challenging for a professional to guide a foreign director, particularly one located in a conflict zone like Israel, through the process. The need to repeatedly send One-Time Passwords (OTPs) due to these website malfunctions, often resulting in wait times exceeding 20 minutes, is highly problematic.
This situation is a source of considerable embarrassment for both the director and India.
It is imperative that all forms undergo thorough testing prior to their live deployment.
