@moshelinke they cant decide if its a "serious" dramatic/realistic game with mocapped actors, or an 8bit nostalgia romp with chiptune music I don't personally enjoy that mixed messaging

@Nesstark88 @AuralSurgeon @schapps @sonic_presence @thebeauanthony @LoicCouthier I could be wrong but in this instance of npc voices it sounds like the audio listener is on the camera, so when Npc is behind the player the camera( and listener) is closer to them therefore they become louder . while if player is facing npc, the camera (1/2)

I've noticed many games have louder sound effects in the surround channels compared to the front soundstage, NPC voices, foley effects etc... Could someone provide some insight into why it's mixed this way? @AuralSurgeon @schapps @sonic_presence @thebeauanthony @LoicCouthier
