With freezing temperatures outside, inside we had good heat & light, along with oxygen & naloxone thats all you really need. Highlights, seeing people who, when outside, would inject in their groin, take their time & find a vein in their arm. Cheap, Effective #HarmReduction 👇

Most rewarding days to provide a safer injecting area are those horrible days, snow, ice, cold & wet as Glasgow is often. Knowing from personal experience the difficulty of keeping warm & finding a vein seeing people relax, get a heat & not rushing is an unforgettable experience.

With +40K jailed in 2023, 61% were for non-violent offences. Such crime is product of poverty and neglect. It should be addressed by lifting up education, housing & rehabilitation, not by stamping down with incarceration.

@emptyhomes Over 300K people homeless or living in poor quality temporary accommodation. Over 1 million "truly vacant" second homes. Paints a striking portrait of UK inequality.

Action on Empty Homes @emptyhomes
A million wasted empty homes is far too many.. It's time we stopped the madness of rising numbers of wasted empty homes as homelessness continues to grow and housing affordability declines. Sign our letter to the new Government, calling for action here: actiononemptyhomes.org/lettertolabour
