@KakarottaLeah weirdly enough, he made a whole video defending bubsy 3d. any game that isnt engineered specifically for time attack is bad in his eyes because the game design interferes with his very specific vision for the game, but apparently bubsy 3d’s dogshit controls are “cool friction”

honestly i really do not like the way pariah talks about gameplay in games, i feel he goes in expecting one very specific experience and dismisses anything that doesn't conform to that i think also how he uses mods to create "definitive versions" of every game is also telling

The timed missions are the best part of Frontiers only because they give a purpose to every obstacle on the map; I still think it's a poor execution and understanding of platforming in Sonic, but it's a band-aid that's appreciated thanks to the updates
